What curriculum do you use?
We are using texts based on a Biblical worldview approach to education. BJU Press is academically challenging and encourages critical thinking. While adhering to Nevada DOE education requirements, we will not strictly adhere to Common Core Standards. Rather, we will work with our students based on best practices and individual learning styles. We will share God’s truth and partner with families as students seek God’s purpose and plan for their lives. We will incorporate hands-on learning and field trips where practical. Our goal will be the development of a life-long love of learning.
What is an evangelical school?
VCA serves all families, offering a distinctly Christian approach to education. An evangelical school partners with families and local churches to grow and nurture students through education based on Biblical principles with a consistent commitment to the truth of Scripture. It is our hope that VCA students would see their education result in a life-long commitment to the teachings of God in the Bible.
What is a Biblical worldview?
A Biblical (or Christian) worldview is based on God’s unchanging Word. It is the framework of beliefs through which a Christian individual, group, or culture interprets and interacts with the world. We seek to instill a Christ-centered approach to life.
